#3 New Companion
The new gameplay also provides us with a first look at an Indian companion called Parvati.
Parvati can be found in the Saltuna Cannery while talking to Reed Tobson, a young girl who for some reason carries around wrenches, diagonsticators, hairpins and engine tape.

Not much is known about Parvati's special skills but her basic attacks boil down to smacking people with a hammer-like weapon from behind which does a lighting attack of some kind and knocks people out.
Other than Parvati, we also get introduced to a new companion called Nyoka. Nyoko's basic attack is raining bullets all over the enemies with a machine gun which is pretty cool.
What shows off Obsidian's real commitment to making this game a true RPG is the level of interaction one can have with these companions during the quests.
In the quest where the main character was about to shut down the power for the town for Emerald Vale people, Parvati interrupted and delivered a believable, convincing statement to completely flip off the mind of the players.
Such kinds of interruptions are good as they provide a sense that one's companions have a personality and an opinion of themselves as well, something which has become uncommon in the so-called role-playing games these days,
#4 Choices
The Outer Worlds has intricately designed dialogue options that branch off to multiple story scenarios depending upon the choices you take.
Obsidian has been emphasizing this fact since day one that The Outer Worlds is not a sprawling open-world RPG but a smaller, more contended experience with more attention given to its RPG mechanics and to be honest, one won't be disappointed.
The obvious nod to Obsidian's previous works such as Fallout: New Vegas and even Pillars of Eternity here because the game's offering so much substance when its choices and decisions, in other words, there are true RPG elements, which means real choices and consequences.
The quest we undertake on the gameplay footage is a clear indication of what to expect from The Outer Worlds. What's interesting is that making decisions in this game won't be a piece of cake, as the game won't give you a morally good and bad decision to choose from, rather the choices will boil down to being morally grey no matter how you look at it.
Think you can handle all of that? Then The Outer Worlds is definitely for you.
