The Outlast games have earned quite the reputation of being the survival horror adventures where players traverse horrifying atmosphere with only the night vision of their camcorder to help them along the way.
The game is set in first person and players have to rely on stealth rather than weapons to evade the horror that lies in front of them.
Surprisingly, Red Barrels, the studio behind the 2013 and 2017's The Outlast and The Outlast 2 are now developing the third game in The Outlast series known as The Outlast Trials.
According to Red Barrels, The Outlast Trials is set in the era of the Cold War and for the first time in the series, history will feature a co-op mode so that players won't have to face the horror alone this time around.
Not much is known about the game at the moment other than the fact that it is in production. Hopefully, we will hear more about the game soon.
Outlast 1 has a Metacritic score of 78/100 whereas Outlast 2 has a Metacritic score of 75/100 on PC.
