The developers of Risk of Rain, Hoppo Games, recently joined Valve’s Deadlock team. Back in 2012, two university students, Paul Morse and Duncan Drummond formed Hopoo Games, and in 2013, they made Risk of Rain, the rogue-like game we now play and love. This news has caught many players off guard as no one in the community predicted this.

Following the original post from @IntelDeadlock on X, content creator Abstract commented that Hopoo Games are a perfect addition to the Deadlock team:

“The perfect fit for a game with this much screen clutter.”
