“These were so fun”: Fortnite community misses the Flare Gun in Chapter 5 Season 3

Over the years, Fortnite has racked up a catalog of weapons and items that can rarely be matched by any other game. Epic Games is constantly trying to bring equipment to the game that not only proves useful during a match but also leaves a mark on the players. Such is the case with the Flare Gun, the beloved Ranged Consumable Item that was first introduced in Chapter 2 Season 3.

The weapon has been missing from the game's loot pool since Chapter 4 Season 3, leading to players reminiscing about it. This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post shared by u/PLAYED_YT, where the player expressed their appreciation for the Flare Gun and how it was one of the more fun items to be added to the game.

The Reddit post ignited a flurry of responses from the community, with players coming forward to humorously express their love for the Flare Gun. They also talked about how the item would have fared in Chapter 5 Season 3, given the current climate and meta of the game.

Reddit user u/bootorangutan, referencing the recently released Ride the Lightning Mythic, joked about how if a player were to shoot a Flare Gun in Chapter 5 Season 3, a player would zip through the sky using the Mythic.

When will the Flare Gun return to Fortnite?

Judging from the comments on the Reddit post, it is clear that the Flare Gun is dearly missed by the community, bringing the question of when the Flare Gun will be reintroduced to the game's loot pool. While there is no way to say for certain, Epic Games will likely add the Fireworks Flare Gun version to Fortnite for the Fourth of July holiday.

Additionally, since the weapon was first added to the game during Chapter 2, it will likely be brought back when the Chapter 2 OG season launches later in Chapter 5.
