Listed below are the five things every The Finals player should know irrespective of the current meta.
1) Cashout timing
The Cashout takes two minutes to complete after the vault is deposited. However, if the vault is deposited with less than two minutes left in the game time, the additional seconds are added as overtime, capped at one minute. This implies that if you deposit the vault with less than one minute left in the timer, the cashout completes faster within that extra minute added for overtime.
Additionally, stealing a cashout takes six seconds, and opening a vault takes 20 seconds.
2) Elemental effects
A lesser-known fact is how all the elemental effects like gas, fire, smoke, and goo react with each other, and this is something every The Finals player should know. Here’s how all the elemental effects work in The Finals.
- Gas gets burnt or nullified by fire/pyro
- Fire gets put out by smoke
- Goo is inflammable and spreads to all connected goo instantaneously.

3) Destructibility
Everything in The Finals can be destroyed by not only gadgets and specializations but also by shooting and punching them. However, it does take longer to destroy walls and structures this way.
A lesser-known fact that every The Finals player should know is that ziplines and ladders can be easily destroyed by punching them twice. This is crucial in defending a cashout in certain locations to stall the enemy from reaching your cashout.
4) Stacked Cashouts
Cashouts can be stacked with multiple vaults with the total amount being the sum of all vaults. However, depositing a secondary vault in an enemy cashout doesn’t change the ownership of the cashout but only gives the cashout more value. That said, every The Finals player should know that stacking cashouts can lead to being targeted by all three teams, making it harder to defend.

5) Hitscan Weapons
Most weapons in The Finals Weapons tier list are hit scan weapons, meaning there is no projectile travel time or drop. The enemies get hit instantly on firing as long as you aim at them. There is no need to lead shots when opponents are far away. This works on all weapons except throwing knives, KS-23, Grenade launchers like the CL-40, and Recursive Bow.
However, one of the things that every The Finals player should know is that there is a damage fall-off for all weapons. This makes certain close-range guns ineffective at a larger range.
