Players understandably want some pointers before playing Zenless Zone Zero, a new upcoming free-to-play action role-playing gacha game from HoYoverse. Set in an urban fantasy world named New Eridu, the game has a futuristic and post-apocalyptic setting, with Ethereal entities invading the human realm through Hollow gateways. These Ethereals cause major devastation to the majority of humanity, eliminating most of them.

Set to release on July 4, 2024, the game will offer numerous launch rewards. In Zenless Zone Zero, one assumes the position of a character who assists others in exploring the hazardous Hollow realms. Throughout their journey, the protagonist will recruit additional members to their party as they combat the Ethereals and other adversaries.

Before playing Zenless Zone Zero, Rogue-like fans would be glad to know that ZZZ has a game mode featured for them and this rogue-like mode will accompany the usual commission system and cater to a completely different audience to let them try out HoYoverse's latest publication.

3) The Hub World

The Hub World is a place where you can find your collected party members and it is here that you will get Urban Commissions. One can also interact with their party members in this hub world. The game will also feature events that let you dive deeper into the character's lore.

4) Difficulty options

Upon initiating the main story sequence, players will be able to choose from either a Casual mode or a Challenge mode. Hardcore gamers can enjoy the challenging gameplay they desire, while casual players may opt for easier, less intense combat.

5) Gacha types

Players need to remember that this game uses a gacha system not unlike other similar games under HoYoverse that feature these summon mechanics. There will primarily be two types of summon systems, one for characters and the other for the in-game engine or equipment system. Furthermore, both these summons share the same ticket.

This game features a fast-paced combat system that will keep you thoroughly engaged in the Challenging difficulty mode. Players will be able to use a dodge mechanic and will be rewarded for timing a perfect dodge. This will allow one to counterattack and land quick hits while negating damage.

HoYoverse has taken audience feedback from its current lineup of games and is focusing on introducing an endgame mode that players can learn about before playing Zenless Zone Zero. This game mode will have a progressive difficulty increase and feature 10 levels before the timed portions come into play.
