"This sounds fun ngl": CS2 fan on a ridiculous idea of selling C4 for in-game money

It has been more than a year since CS2 arrived to the FPS scene. The developers are yet to push a major update introducing a highly sought operation in this iteration of the game. This has sparked a massive outcry throughout the CS community. However, that didn’t stop fans from speculating bizarre ideas on what the Valve devs could implement upon the launch of the new operation.

A prominent CS2 content creator @OzznyCS2 posted a screenshot on X showcasing one such ridiculous idea by u/Brother_Mayo, suggesting that if players could vote among themselves to sell the C4 for $5k in-game money, it’ll be easy for them to purchase better guns on eco rounds.

Ozzny questioned the X community on whether the idea was crazy or could be implemented. While several members of the community have wholeheartedly supported this idea, others haven't been that keen. In support of the X post, one fan @YorchBurgos replied in the following manner:

Another fan @TheConduit7 found the idea unique. According to the user, selling the C4 for a certain amount of money will add an extra layer of suspense in between rounds, especially during an eco rounds. They mentioned:

“It does bring the concept of an eco round in a different level."

While most people restricted themselves just to support the idea, users like @Danmckie2002 and @iiTrixo suggested that the Valve devs might add this idea as a new creative mode in Counter-Strike 2 with some financial adjustments in the selling amount of the C4. Moreover, they suggested that the developer could add some missions regarding this mode upon the launch of the new operation.

Among the stream of positive comments, users like @Kantas1371, @schnuufit, and @akevhommesinge made it quite evident that implementing the aforementioned idea in CS2 is not a viable option at all.

According to them, the Terrorist side in CS2 already has a strong economy and better weapons (AK-47, SG553). Hence, there’s no point in buffing the economy. Meanwhile, they mocked the idea by saying, “Why not add Tanks and launchers”

Should CS2 allow selling C4 on the T-side?

According to the original Reddit post, if T-side players could sell the C4 for $5k in-game money while each member gets an equal share of $1k, it would be easier for them to win an eco round by purchasing better weapons. While many were in support of the idea, a substantially large group wasn't keen.

They believed that implementing this bizarre thing without a trail could unnecessarily create a massive outcry in the community.

Hence it’ll be great if the developer initially introduced this idea in an experimental game mode and rely on players’ reactions via several media forums. That way, they could avoid unnecessary controversies and keep the player base satisfied.
