Old characters return in Mortal Kombat X

Johhny Cage. Kurtis Styrker. Sonya Blade. Jax Briggs. Scorpion.Mortal Kombat fans will know who these people are. And we’re going to give them a small dose of happiness. A screenshot leaked via NeoGAF shows that three classic MK characters Johhny Cage, Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs are all set to return in Mortal Kombat X. The screenshot is most likely from a cutscene in the story mode during gameplay.

A story trailer had been released for Mortal Kombar X last week and if that’s anything to go by, then this installment of the franchise primarily focuses on younger characters. However we can pretty much expeect some of the older characters to be back. Plus take a look at the screenshot above. Sonya Blade and Johhny Cage definitely look older than they did in the previous game.

The same website also showed the character model for Jax Briggs, who still possesses his metallic arms, but definitely looks much older. If we had to put a number, then we would say 40 would be pretty close to the mark.Hush, though. We are not done yet. Another probable leak from earlier this week suggested that aside from these 3 characters, Kenshi is also expected to return in MKX. We are holding on to the idea that a lot of old faces will be seen in Mortal Kombat X, although there will be a lot of new characters in stock as well. We’re simply waiting now for NetherRealm Studios to confirm the presence of all these characters in Mortal Kombat X. Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. A mobile version of the game will also be released in the same month.
