#5 K Sangaporra (Kumar Sangakkara) – 84

Kumar Sangakarra is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and was also the captain of the national team. A left handed top order batsman, Sangakkara is regarded as one of the greatest ODI batsmen of all time. He is the second highest run-scorer in ODI cricket, and also a record-breaking wicket-keeper.

Cricket 07 rates Sangakarra’s catching skill at 84, while rating accuracy at 77 and agility at 84. As a wicket-keeper, he has no special fielding skills in the game.

Sangakarra has played 404 ODI matches taking 402 catches. He also has the record for most wicketkeeping dismissals with 99 stumpings in these matches.

MS Dhoni performs well in Cricket 07 too, but he still deserves a better ranking keeping in mind his career actually took off after the game was released. Cricket 07 rates his catching ability at 86, while his accuracy at a mere 65. His agility is rated at 84 which is a decent number compared to his other ratings.

D Dhenier seems like a weak player compared to the real life Dhoni but he still is one of the best wicketkeepers in the game. Dhoni has taken 269 catches in 286 ODI matches while doing 94 stumpings.

#3 Geraint Jones – 92

Geraint Jones is not a well-known name for wicket keeping abilities, but if you are playing Cricket 07 he is one of the best. He largely fell behind in international cricket due to the presence of Chris Read and Tim Ambrose in the England cricket team.

Mark Boucher was South Africa’s first-choice wicketkeeper until he retired from international cricket. He is regarded as one of the greatest wicketkeepers South Africa has ever had. Boucher holds the record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in Test cricket. He also holds the record for most catches taken by a wicketkeeper in all formats of international cricket.

Cricket 07 rates Boucher at 92 for his catching ability, and 84 for accuracy. His agility is rated at 90 in the game. Boucher also has a speciality of ‘Velcro Hands’ in the fielding department.

Boucher suffered a serious eye injury when a bail struck his eyes and had to retire due to its severity. He has taken 403 catches in 295 ODI matches with 22 stumpings.
