7 of the best features in the Wuthering Waves 1.2 update to look forward to

7) New Depths of Illusive Realm store rewards

Depths of Illusive Realm in Wuthering Waves is a fan-favorite game mode with a rogue-like progression system. To turn the odds in your favor, you must exchange items to strengthen your active character. Update 1.2 will see a mandatory reset of the domain, and with that, new items will be added to the White Cat’s inventory.

The developers have yet to unveil the new reward from the Depths of Illusive Realm store, but they have promised to add the items as soon as the second half of the update kicks off.

6) Resonator Showcase

The upcoming Resonator Showcase aims to offer more customization for the profile. You can essentially use it to display the Convene scenes of unlocked characters to jazz up your account. This feature will allow you to showcase up to three selected units.

The option will be available on the in-game Terminal screen. All it takes is a tap on the avatar to assign Resonators for display.

5) Custom Lock-On feature

Wuthering Waves features a difficult combat system consisting of various intricate mechanics like dodge-counter and parry. While these can be mastered with some practice, you cannot do much if the auto-lock-on feature fails mid-combat.

Fortunately, the next patch will introduce better optimization and improvements to the system, which should further refine the interactions of Resonators and some Echo skills. The officials will also add a custom feature under settings to adjust the auto lock-on priorities for enemies.

4) More Guidebook Activity points from Daily Quest

Rovers in Wuthering Waves have to spend some time completing the Guidebook Activities every day. Since Kuro Games aspires to improve the gameplay experience, they will increase the Activity Points received from Daily Quests. Instead of 20 points, you will receive 60 for completing the recurring missions.

With the changes in place, the duration to farm Asterites from dailies will be reduced by half. This will also allow players to focus on other errands, such as Echo farming or Simulation Training.

3) Hoverdroid Shooter tool

Breaking the Photonvault and Hover Targets can be a pain when you don’t have a pistol-wielder in your active squad. Kuro Games came up with the perfect solution for the issue with the Hoverdroid Shooter. This gadget will be added to the Utility menu in version 1.2, and it will remove the hassle of switching characters during your adventure.

Instead, you can simply equip the gadget and hold down the Basic Attack button to shoot projectiles towards the target.

2) 120 FPS support on PC

Several leaks in the past have hinted at 120 FPS support for Wuthering Waves on PC. The higher framerate option was available in the game during the closed beta but was removed upon its official release after it caused a few visual glitches.

It appears that the developers have fixed the issue, so higher-end PCs will finally be able to produce the highest frames.

1) Feature to store excess Waveplate

The Wuthering Waves 1.2 update will add a feature to store excess Waveplate, which will function like the Reserved Trailblaze Power from Honkai Star Rail. Once the daily stamina reaches the maximum capacity, the additional units will be converted to Waveplate Crystals after every 12 minutes.

You no longer have to worry about wasting the previous Waveplate. Instead, join the game whenever possible to farm some resources. Make sure to convert the crystals into actual stamina to avoid flooding the reserve.
