For years, mobile games have evolved parallelly with advancements in handheld technology and now, several developers have broken boundaries and enabled various titles to run on both mobiles and consoles. Ever since mobile gaming has asserted its dominance in the global esports industry, the expectations of fans have also increased.
There are a few mobile games in the market that are available on multiple platforms and run the same way, with just a few minor differences in graphics, framerates, and other features. However, the gameplay still remains the same and can be experienced on any platform, whichever is more convenient and accessible.
This article has a list of mobile games that have their own console versions as well. Note that they are available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. They can also be played on next-gen platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, due to backwards compatibility.

Minecraft and 4 other mobile games can be played on consoles as well
1) Minecraft
Minecraft is a popular sandbox title and is one of Mojang's claims to fame. It is a simulation arcade that allows you to take full creative control over your environment, where you can explore infinite worlds, build homes, fortresses, and so much more. You can interact with other players and other elements, such as animals, as well.
The title supports cross-platform multiplayer with up to 10 players and if you have an Xbox Live account, you can play with up to four friends. The price vary across all platforms, although the mobile version is relatively cheaper than its console counterparts.
2) ARK: Survival Evolved
ARK: Survival Evolved is an action-adventure survival game that was developed and published by Studio Wildcard. Here, your primary objective is to survive the harsh open world filled with over 80 different kinds of dinosaurs, hostile machines, and other players who may or may not be friendly.
In order to survive, you will have to brave the massive world alone by crafting resources, joining friends or forming alliances with other players. Further, you can also tame all sorts of prehistoric creatures, and build shelters and tribes for the ultimate survival experience.
The game is free to download on mobile platforms, unlike its console counterparts, where you'll have to buy it.
3) Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is one of the highest-rated action RPG mobile games developed by miHoYo and Cognosphere Pte. Ltd. It is set in a massive open world called Teyvat, where you engage in a compelling story that involves maximum exploration of your world and interactions with elements such as people, buildings, nature, etc.
The mobile version of the game has major differences in terms of graphics, resolution, and control scheme compared to its console counterparts, with them being more enhanced than on mobile. On the bright side, it is free to download across all platforms and the Nintendo Switch version is also set to be released soon.
4) PUBG
Player Unknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is the console version of PUBG Mobile developed by Krafton as well as Lightspeed and Quantum. This popular shooter was released in 2017 for PC and consoles, followed by the mobile version's release in 2018.
Although gameplay stands the same, PUBG Mobile features more game modes like Arena, War, etc. whereas you can only play battle royale and team deathmatches in the console versions. However, playing on the latter will offer you better framerates and resolution. The game is free to download across all platforms as well.
5) Limbo
Limbo is one of Playdead's most popular mobile games. It tells the story of a young boy looking for his lost sister and entering "Limbo," a creepy world filled with dangerous creatures and humans who stand in his way. It is a dark indie adventure title that boasts captivating puzzles, immersive sounds, and visuals.
There are no technical differences between each version of the game across all platforms, but you will have to pay money and buy from online stores, be it on mobile, PC, or consoles.
