Most effective places to hide Skopos' shells in Rainbow Six Siege
Being effective with Skopos in Rainbow Six Siege comes down to opportunistic plays and how the attackers decide to approach your objective site. Even though kills are not guaranteed from a shell swap, you will be able to return to action and pressure the attacking side from two regions very quickly.
You can find more creative places to put your inactive shell using Azami Kiba Barriers or Bulletproof shields. However, this list consists of spots that are reliable, easy to get into, offer safe disengage opportunities, and fall in drone blindspots after the new Rainbow Six Siege season introduced the Drone Boost feature.
1) Coastline
Coastline is one of the smaller maps in Rainbow Six Siege and it allows players to change positions very quickly. The effective places to hide Skopos' shells in Rainbow Six Siege's Coastline solely serve the purpose of intel gathering, along with a rare opportunity to undertake a risky flank. This is because with a small map design, it is easy for attackers to find the inactive shell and lay a trap for it.
The inactive shell's positions can change depending upon objective selection. A couple of blindspots where one can set up the shells are Blue Bar and Penthouse Hallway. Although the first location is easy to get into, the second requires breaking the vase and getting rid of all the debris that is inside the little elevated space on the wall shelves.
2) Bank
Bank is a large scale map that allows some leeway for shell placements. And as such, it is harder for the attacking side to keep track of where Skopos is at any moment. Being effective with Skopos on Bank will rely on your ability to disrupt attackers by denying them vertical play or causing time-delay as a roamer.
Some of the effective places to hide Skopos' shells on Rainbow Six Siege's Bank map are Locker Room and Loan Office. These two spots stay in the drone's blindspot and allow you to cover a lot of ground by changing shells across the whole map. Placing the inactive shell in either of these spots while exploring with the other will allow you to be an effective roamer and pick the attacking side apart.
3) Kanal
Skopos can be very effective in Kanal thanks to its map design. There are two separate buildings here that are connected via two distinct sky bridges. Therefore, it is essential that whatever objective you play, you keep your inactive shell in the other building. This will allow Skopos to be an effective roamer who can return back to safety when being pressed by attackers.
A couple of places to hide Skopos' shells Rainbow Six Siege's Kanal are Harry Potter beneath White Stairs and Server Room beside the Kitchen hatch. These two spots can be utilized effectively with any objective site as they allow you to press attackers from positions that they won't expect you to be in. And with proper site control, it will be easy for you to return to safety.
4) Consulate
Consulate is another large-scale map that can effectively utilize good Skopos shell placement on positions that are drone blindspots. This is because, with a large-scale map and time limitation, attackers need to drone quickly and ignore areas that do not require any attacker presence. This allows you to surprise attackers from behind and pick apart their team.
A few effective places to hide Skopos shells in Consulate of Rainbow Six Siege are Server Room behind the Pillar Rack and corner of the Break Room. These two spots are on basement and second floor respectively and allow Skopos to cover a lot of ground to disrupt attackers and get kills as a bonus. Getting your shells in these positions requires no extra setup, unlike Penthouse Hallway in Coastline.
5) Clubhouse
Clubhouse is a compact map that features a lot of different interconnected regions. Therefore similar to Coastline, the inactive shell placement can be risky all while being rewarding with proper opportunity. This map requires attackers to approach bomb sites with proper space control, and this is where Skopos becomes a menace by being able to change positions and put pressure on them.
Two of the most effective places to hide Skopos' shells Rainbow Six Siege's Clubhouse map are Strip Club behind mini bar and Bathroom stall on Bedroom. Since the southern section is overtaken by attackers fairly easily, it is safer to consider placing the inactive shell in the northern and western parts of the map.
