The Creative Assembly-developed strategy game, Total War: Warhammer, which was originally scheduled for launch on April 28, finally made its release on Tuesday - the 24th of this month. Mike Simpson (the Creative director) had then explained the reason for the delay in an official press release saying, "This could be the best Total War game we've ever made. We don't want to rush it."
He had further added, “It's an enormous game and we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch. Many thanks to the huge number of people who have pre-ordered and are eagerly awaiting release day. We’re pulling out all the stops for you.”

If you are interested in buying, then I would suggest that you hurry because apparently, The Chaos Warriors DLC pack which was initially only meant to be a pre-order offer, now comes free, as long as you buy within the week of the release. The DLC includes:
- Three new playable Legendary Lords
- Unique new mounts, bloodthirsty units and
- New quests, magic items and abilities.
Is Total War: Warhammer worth buying ? The game suffered a slight setback on the first day of its release due to many gamers complaining of server lags and crashes. This resulted in a lot of negative comments and ratings from steam users. However, the developers quickly addressed the situation and provided remedies to solve the issue. After this, the game has been doing quite well in the review department with a compiled score of 86/100 on Metacritic.
Also, Sega had previously announced that Total War: Warhammer will deliver "hundreds of hours" of gameplay and two additional expansions will follow. Total War: Warhammer is the first in a three-part trilogy, that will include two standalone further instalments, as well as DLC packs. So you can expect a lot from the game in the coming days.
