Unlocking Future Trunks and Jiren's episode battle in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

If you have already started playing Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, you might have noticed a significant difference in the story mode of Sparking Zero compared to older Dragon Ball games. Sparking Zero features multiple episodes, during which the players are taken through a specific character's story. There are eight such episodes, out of which six are already unlocked. The other two that you need to unlock are the episode battles of Future Trunks and Jiren.

How to unlock Future Trunks' and Jiren's episode battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Future Trunks' episode battle

To unlock Future Trunks' episode battle in the latest Dragon Ball game, players will first need to play through a large part of Goku's story mode. Once you have reached or crossed the Goku Black saga, you will be able to unlock Future Trunks' episode battle. Upon defeating Fused Zamasu as Vegito Blue during the 'In Order to Fuse' battle, which comes after Chapter 6 of Goku's Saga, Future Trunks' episode battle will be unlocked.

Jiren's episode battle

After completing the Goku Black Saga, keep playing until you complete Goku's story. Once you successfully complete the last mission of Chapter 7 from his Saga, you will be able to play Jiren's episode battle. Once you complete the 'Goku's Strength' mission, where he fights Jiren, you will unlock Jiren's Episode Battle.

The game features one of the largest rosters ever when it comes to fighting games, consisting of 181 playable characters. Therefore, unlocking these two episodes will let you experience a significant chunk of the Dragon Ball story. However, these episodes will be much more difficult compared to the rest of the episodes that you have played so far. So make sure to choose the right difficulty when playing them.
