Unreal Engine 4 gets SteamOS, Xbox One indie support

Unreal Engine’s 4′s 4.1 update brings with it development support for SteamOS, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Linux and a bunch of other improvements and additions to the engine.

As per IGN, the member of Microsoft’s ID@Xbox indie program and registered PlayStation developers using the engine will receive access to UE4 source code at no extra cost. The new update of Unreal Engine 4 enables a lot of features such as new development support, tutorials, rolling and flying templates, as asset deletion assistant, an undo history window and also some bugs are fixed.

Reports also suggest that during the Game Developers Conference 2014, Epic Games announced that the Unreal Engine 4 is set to adopt to a new subscription model to make the engine more accessible.
