Best Gameplay Tips for Phoenix in Sunset map in Valorant
1) Using Blaze for site entry/rotation
Phoenix’s Blaze ability can cut down the enemy line of sight and control over a space. This ability can be used to block enemy visibility from the B-Market to enable your team to push from B-Main. Additionally, you can also throw your flashes across the Blaze wall to catch opponents by surprise for easy elimination.
2) Proper use of Curveball flashes
Phoenix’s flashes travel through a unique curved path, i.e. to left or right depending on the player’s choice. Use the Curveball flashes to blind enemies holding tricky spots like the tight corners at both A and B-Main or even B-Market to gain control over those particular areas. Phoenix’s flashes can last for 1.5 seconds, giving you plenty of time to easily take out enemies. Since it is now a Signature ability since the 9.10 patch update, Phoenix will receive an additional charge after every two kills.
3) Aligning the spike plants with the molly lineups
Post-plant situations are always crucial as the outcome can turn the tides in your favor. To win an attacking round with proper coordination, it is highly recommended to make sure that you or your teammate plants the spike on the area that your Hot Hands can line up over. Especially while attacking the B-site, plant the spike at the back of the site to allow the molly lineup to land on the exact area.
4) Healing abilities
Both Phoenix’s Hot Hands and Blaze abilities can heal him when he comes in contact. Using the Blaze ability to block off certain areas and healing yourself at the same time gives you an advantage during intense combat in a Valorant match. Similarly, use the Hot Hands ability to heal yourself after taking significant damage from a gunfight.
5) Using Phoenix’s ULT for taking MID
Phoenix’s Ult enables him to take on aggressive gunfights or site entries from the activation point for a short period without dying after taking damage. Use this ability at the beginning of the attacking round to take control of MID by counter-peeking the OPer at mid-top or clearing the B-Market area by pushing through mid. Similarly, for defense, you can use the ULT at the start of the round to take on the OP’er peeking from A-lobby. You can return to full health after the ULT, which is the main benefit of applying it in the scenarios provided. Don't be afraid to utilize it. This strategy will hinder their execution and give your team enough time to set up.
Compared to other agents in Valorant, Phoenix's Hot Hands Molly has a restricted range of motion. As a result, creating original lineups can be challenging and may involve a great deal of trial and error. Despite the fact that these insights have been tried and tested, players are advised to try to develop their own unique lineups and tactics that fit their playstyle in order to win.
