Overwatch 2 Season 13 is approaching and so is a brand new My Hero Academia collaboration. Blizzard just released a set of skins for five different heroes, and all of these represent a major character from the famous anime/manga series. The skins include the Izuku Midoriya Tracer, Ochaco Uraraka Juno, All Might Reinhardt, Tomura Shigaraki Reaper, and Himoko Toga Kiriko. However, skins for many heroes, including Venture, were missing.

Interestingly Juno is a brand-new character while Venture was released in April 2024. Yet, the latter hasn't received many new skins since launch. @Kevin12Jump shared a tweet regarding the situation when the MHA skins were announced.

While Venture does have skins, they don't have a legendary skin. Overwatch 2's Game Director Aaron Keller promised a skin for the hero in the game's 14th season back in August 2024. However, an official announcement and reveal for the cosmetic hasn't been made available. Regardless, some fans are upset at the lack of skins.

User @opinions2234 believed that the Izuku Midoriya skin given to Tracer should have been Venture's instead.

"Venture should’ve been the Deku skin"

Meanwhile, @AslinIsDead believed Venture hasn't received a single decent skin since their release. They believed the character should receive the same amount of attention as Kiriko.

However, Blizzard is bound to release at least one new Venture skin in the upcoming season. @CrazyZackxx12 believed that when the character gets a new one, it should be among the best.

"Their skin better be one of the best in the game"

@the_HUGOAT pointed out that there were My Hero Academia characters that could have suited Venture rather well, like Eijiro Kirishima or Mei Hatsuma who helps out the lead character with some technology upgrades.

"They could’ve made a Kirishima-Venture skin or even the inventor chick that is friends with Deku that made him the gloves"

It is true that Blizzard wasn't short of MHA characters that could've inspired a skin for Venture, yet there were none. Quite reasonably, @vintantt believed the character had been completely neglected post-release.

"They literally threw them back into the closest after releasing"

Finally, @msmumblebee felt that Juno should've been released way before Venture in Overwatch 2 if the character was going to get so much attention from the get-go. They wish that the developers treat all heroes with equal positive regard.

Juno or Venture: Who is more popular in Overwatch 2?

Venture Overwatch 2 (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)

Juno was released in Season 12, while Venture has been in the game for several months. It is important to note that both heroes are from different classes. Venture is a Damage type, while Juno is a Support.

However, despite the difference in release dates, their pick rates are rather low. Heroes like Genji, Hanzo, and Soldier: 76 have a higher pick rate when it comes to Damage heroes, while in terms of support, Kiriko, Moira, and Mercy are more popular and have a higher rate of getting picked. As of right now, it seems Juno is more popular than Venture. Maybe it's a recency bias or just players making their choices as they naturally would

Perhaps it will take some time for players to diversify their picks and start picking the newer characters over the old ones in Overwatch 2.
