The game is slated to release on January 16 for XBox One and PS 4 in Australia and New Zealand and the reveal trailer for it was released on Tuesday, which features World No. 1 Rafael Nadal. The 48-second trailer features the in-game Spaniard taking to the Rod Laver Arena as the narrator announces the host of titles he has collected over his storied career.
AO Tennis will feature fully licensed and photo-realistic players, with the makers of the game having combined historical data for each player to make sure the game is as realistic as possible. The game is also set to feature a full-fledged career mode, tournament mode as well as online play modes, which will make it the most detailed tennis game ever created.
It is set to feature the world's top players, who have also been 3D scanned and motion captured by the game's makers, in order to make the game authentic. Users will also have the option of choosing between playing grass, clay or hard courts, which each surface throwing different challenges.
Gamers will also have the option of creating their own players in the game and it will also them to customize clothing, logos and even stadiums, which is certain to offer a unique experience for fans.
