Vila in Reverse 1999 is an upcoming Arcanist who will debut in the version 1.8 update. She is a Plant Afflatus Arcanist of the 6-star rarity with Purify, Support, and Heal tags. Timekeepers can pull her from the time-limited banner, Ode to the Utopia, from August 15 to August 29, 2024, at 04:59 UTC-5.

Vila in Reverse 1999: Skills overview
Vila, the Plant Afflatus Arcanist, can buff one of her teammates’ critical rate and critical damage. She can also heal her allies and enhance her incantations. Her buff gives an extra advantage to those Arcanists who deal Mental damage to enemies.
Here is the skills overview of Vila in Reverse 1999:
- Beating Heart (Basic Skill): Vila can buff one ally with Beating Heart. She grants Song of Generosity and Power Burst to the ally. The Rasulka status effect changes Song of Generosity to Song of Passion. Only one Song of Generosity or Song of Passion can exist at a time.
- Wordless Song (Basic Skill): She can heal an ally with Wordless Song and grants Sturdiness to it. If under Rusalka status effect, she also restores the HP of the ally with the lowest health multiple times.
- Bright Prospect (Ultimate Skill): Villa buffs all her allies with Bright Prospect. She dispels all stats down, neg status, and control statuses from all allies. Then, she gains the Rasulka status effect; and also changes the Song of Generosity to Song of Passion and resets its duration. However, she cannot gain an Ultimate incantation card while in the Rusalka status.
Explanation of status effects
- Songs of Generosity: It boosts critical rate and damage by 20%. Mental damage Arcanists gain 10% extra critical rate and 20% extra critical damage.
- Power Burst: It grants a 25% damage bonus while attacking.
- Song of Passion: It boosts critical rate and critical damage by 20%. Mental damage Arcanists gain 10% extra critical rate and 20% extra critical damage. Additionally, when the Arcanists under this effect attack with a rank one/two/three incantation, they deal an extra 50%/120%/200% damage.
- Rasulka: It enhances Vila’s incantations.
Vila’s Passive Skill or Inheritance is called Us. At Insight I, she gains one Moxie and extra ones based on the number of Mental damage Arcanists in the team. Under Rasulka status effect, she gains pre-cast incantation, Song of Inspiration, at the beginning of every round. Song of Inspiration provides Moxie and Eureka with an ally without consuming AP (Action Points).
At Insight II, Vila in Reverse 1999 takes reduced damage from enemies upon entering the battle. At Insight III, she restores a certain amount of HP for all allies if she doesn't cast any incantation when the round ends. If she is under Rusalka status, she recovers HP once more.

Best teammates for Vila in Reverse 1999
Vila in Reverse 1999 takes the role of a healer and supporter. She synergizes excellently with Mental damage characters due to her ability to grant them extra buff. Timekeepers can pair her with 37 of Star Afflatus, Melania of Beast Afflatus, Kaalaa Bauna of Mineral Afflatus, or the upcoming Plant Afflatus, Marucs.
Is Vila worth pulling in Reverse 1999?
Vila is an excellent Reverse 1999 healer and supporter, especially for the Mental damage team. Her Ultimate’s ability to dispel stats down, neg status, and Control statuses from all her allies makes her one of the best supporters. She can also grant Moxie and Eureka to her allies without using her incantations at Insight I.
Vila can also boost critical damage and critical rate of DPS Arcanists. She is one of the best Arcanists for the Mental damage team one of the must-have ones. Additionally, she can passively heal her allies without using her AP.
Timekeepers must maximize her Inheritance to Insight III to make her useful. However, she doesn’t need Portrays to be effective during battle. So, players won’t regret using their Clear Drops to get Vila in Reverse 1999, and she is worth pulling.
