Virtus.pro vs Entity Dota 2 The International 2023 Lower Bracket Round 2 highlights

The Lower Bracket playoffs of Dota 2 The International 2023 saw the exits of Shopify Rebellion, Tundra, Keyd Stars, Evil Geniuses, 9Pandas, TSM, and Talon. The Upper Bracket Semifinals will feature Team Liquid vs Team Spirit and the square-off between Chinese giants LGD and Azure Ray. The fourth and final Lower Bracket Round 2 series saw Virtus.pro lock horns with Entity.

Virtus.pro wipes out Entity 2-0 in Dota 2 Lower Bracket Round 2 The International 2023

First game between Virtus.pro and Entity

The final fixture of Dota 2 TI12 LB Round 2 kicked off with both teams drafting meta heroes. Despite VP's lineup looking stronger than Entity's, the game spanned 60 minutes.

Virtus.pro (Radiant):

Entity (Dire):

• Morphling - watson
• Invoker - Stormstormer
• Earthshaker - Gabbi

• Chen - Fishman

Gabbi's Earthshaker popped off during the early game as he got a double kill on the TA and Spirit Breaker within six minutes. This helped the ES purchase Blink Dagger at a rapid speed. He used Echo Slam, the Pugna, and Spirit Breaker to earn a good gold lead for his team.

Templar, on the other hand, was slowly getting good farm and managed to purchase Dragon Lance. Entity got Aegis on the Morphling, who had lower net worth than the TA and Doom.

Virtus.pro were quite cautious and avoided direct confrontation against Entity's heroes. The former were clearly waiting for their cores to get BKBs and other items to gank Entity. Eventually, a fight erupted at Dire's Roshan Pit, where VP eliminated the Morphling, Chen, and Tusk.

They instantly entered the Roshan Pit, and the TA got the Aegis. With this momentum, VP started pushing tier 2 towers and killed Gabbi's ES at the bottom lane. After this, both teams smoked and started a fight in the top lane near the Lotus Pool.

Doom, with the Scepter and TA's physical damage, began dismantling Entity as they went on to lose the Morphling, Invoker, and Tusk. Meanwhile, TA had Arcane Blink, Hurricane Pike, Silver Edge, BKB, and Desolator. Additionally, they went on to get the second Aegis and destroy Dire's buildings.

After winning multiple teamfights, Virtus.pro secured megacreeps and eventually won the first Dota 2 TI12 LB Round 2 game.

Second game between Virtus.pro and Entity

The deciding game of Dota 2 TI12 LB Round 2 for Virtus.pro was a short one, ending within just 30 minutes. Entity were outdrafted and outplayed, resulting in their loss in the Bo3 series.

Entity (Radiant):

• Luna - watson
• Pangolier - Stormstormer
• Dawnbreaker - Gabbi
• Dark Willow - Kataomi`
• Warlock - Fishman

Both teams started well, as they accrued an equal amount of kills. Gabbi's Dawnbreaker was eliminated by AA's Ice Blast and other damage output from VP.

The CIS team went on to control the map, with Chaos Knight roaming and farming along the way. He secured a lot of gold within a few minutes and purchased Armlet, Echo Sabre, and BKB. Additionally, he had 2.5K unspent gold and was about to add Blink Dagger to his inventory.

He clearly outfarmed the Luna and started to push Radiant's towers. After securing the Aegis, CK pushed the top tier 2 tower and got a triple kill, eliminating Luna, Pangolier, and Warlock.

Defeat seemed certain for Entity as they couldn't handle VP's immense pressure and teamfighting potential. The latter simply went mid and started destroying Radiant's buildings and kicked Entity from Dota 2 TI12.
