Waster Greatsword | Genshin Impact- Ascension Materials, Stats, Appearence, How to Get and FAQs

Last Modified Jan 13, 2022 07:08 GMT

Waster Greatsword is a claymore that is given as default to new characters who wield one. This weapon was part of the game’s launch and is given to all claymore wielding characters as their first weapon. According to the lore, this weapon can split mountains in half if you wield it with enough will power. It is said that it is not the weapon’s strength, but the wielder’s might that counts.

How to get Waster Greatsword in Genshin Impact?

Unlike most other weapons, the weapons of this series can not be obtained through wishing on any banner. Instead, you can obtain them by opening Common/Exquisite chests or by checking the right Inspect slots. Alternatively, you can also obtain it by summoning a new 4 Star or 5 Star claymore user and take it from them as this will be their default weapon. You can also buy it from Schulz, Wagner’s apprentice who can be seen hanging around in his shop for 300 mora.

Story

The one who uses this heavy, edgeless two-handed greatsword knows this well:

It matters not what the weapon is, for it is the wielder's might that counts.

  2. Waster Greatsword shares the same abbreviation (WGS) as Wolf’s Gravestone, a 5 Star claymore.

FAQs

Where do I get the Waster Greatsword?

Waster Greatsword is fairly common in Genshin Impact. You can obtain them from certain inspection points or from opening common or exquisite chests from all over Teyvat. If you want a guaranteed Waster Greatsword, you can buy it from Schulz in Mondstat for 300 Mora.

How do you use waster Greatsword Genshin?

Waster Greatsword is used by characters when the player is incredibly new to the game. Better alternatives can be obtained almost immediately after starting the game. These weapons can also be used as level up material.

Is the Waster Greatsword a good weapon?

Waster Greatsword is a bad weapon in every way possible. To unlock your character’s full potential, using a sword of the quality 3 Star or above will help.

Final Thoughts

Waster Greatsword is the only 1 Star polearm available in the game. This does not make it special in any way, but rather serves the purpose of showing how much a weapon affects the gameplay of a character. This weapon is incredibly ineffective as it does not have any passives, secondary stats, and can’t even be levelled up beyond Level 70. While it does cost much less resources to level up, it is still a waste of resources and is not to be leveled up if you care about giving your characters better weapons.
