These are tall bluish pillars with segmented grooves on them. You can find one as early as the start of the game to the south-east of the town, Pawt Purrvana. Cat Quest 3 has a magic system that allows you to cast different spells from fireballs and icicles to a self-heal and even a shield that reduces incoming damage. All of them utilize mana indicated by crystals under the HP bar. Given how fast-paced the combat in the game can be with several enemies attacking the protagonist at once, players will eat through their magic meter quickly.

To generate mana, players must strike foes using melee or ranged attacks - however given the size of the map, enemies may not always be nearby to restore mana from. As such, these blue pillars in Cat Quest 3 act as mana restoration points. To utilize them, simply strike them with standard attacks until the mana bar is full and you should be good to go.

It should be noted that this works for ship combat as well. While progressing through the game, you will obtain your ship which is crucial for navigating the open world. This ship is equipped with special cannonballs that can be shot at the cost of a yellow bar, which acts just like mana. While on the ship, strike the blue pillar until the yellow bar is full to be able to utilize the special cannon attacks.

This mechanic is quite helpful when entering higher-level areas in Cat Quest 3 as you can farm mana off these crystals before dealing with powerful foes. To know more, read our full Cat Quest 3 review here.
