All expected changes in Overwatch 2 Season 12

The headline for the upcoming Season 12 of Overwatch 2 is undoubtedly the reintroduction of 6v6 into the game's active playlists. Alongside 6v6, many other additions will undoubtedly make the upcoming season a treat to experience.

Here are the key changes players can expect with the newest Overwatch 2 seasonal update:

New Support Hero

Overwatch 2 Season 12 will introduce the brand-new Support hero, Juno, into the mix. Her early access release saw immense positive feedback from players. Although there were certain criticisms of some parts of her kit, we expect the developers to implement the required balance changes to make her a viable part of the Support Hero roster.

6v6 game mode

Season 12 of Overwatch 2 will feature 6v6 as an experimental game mode. This mode will test the waters to assess whether reverting to the original game mode might be a viable change.

Players have been adamant in their demand for a 6v6 playlist. As the seasons progress, it has become evident that 5v5 simply hasn't been enough to address the power creep of different Hero classes. We speculate that a return to the 6v6 format might be the definite answer to resolve most balance issues.

Furthermore, Quick Play Hacked will be yet another experimental game mode that the developers plan to use to test new features in the game. With Season 11, players got a chance to experience the idea of Pickable Passives. In the upcoming seasons, newer ideas will be implemented through this mode solely for experimental purposes.

Tank changes

Tanks have become overwhelmingly powerful in Overwatch 2 Season 11. The recent hotfix has addressed a fair part of the issue, yet, the general experience for most players has been quite miserable. Fans are frustrated by the constant lack of decent balancing, and to combat that problem, we believe Tanks will be fine-tuned to serve more on the team-play front than individual gameplay in Overwatch 2 Season 12.

4) Battle Pass and Mythic skin

With a brand-new Season, fans can expect a whole new Battle Pass to grind for in the game. This time around, we believe that Overwatch 2 might release a Mythic skin for either Ramattra or possibly Winston. If you main either of these Heroes, you should definitely get your hands on it.
