Seasonal theme and new Battle Pass

The latest Overwatch 2 Season 13 trailer has showcased and teased the upcoming seasonal and Battle Pass theme. Featuring a unique 'witch-like' and 'Halloween' aesthetic, players are all set to experience a spooky surprise for the upcoming season.

The new Battle Pass for Season 13 has 80 collectible rewards, which include both Overwatch Credits, and a range of other collectible cosmetics for Heroes, such as Reaper, Moira, and so on.

Players who have been griding through the ongoing Battle Pass for Season 12, and have surpassed Level 200, can collect additional Battle Pass tiers for the upcoming season. All of these additional tiers can be cashed in as you purchase the Season 13 Battle Pass for $9.99. Alternatively, you can also get your hands on the Ultimate Battle Pass for $39.99 to not only unlock a few exclusive Legendary skins in the game but also get a massive headstart on your Battle Pass progress.

New map updates

Fan-favorite maps, such as Havana, Circuit Royale, and even Dorado, have been reworked to better suit the meta. These maps, though loved by the community, have been constantly criticized for featuring unfavorable Hero balance, and hindering designs.

Numerous additions have been made to Dorado to allow lower-mobility Tanks to join the action. As for Havana, we have seen the long sightlines being reworked to offer players a better fighting chance against the meta sharpshooters for that map.

Circuit Royale has also been massively reworked to offer better playability for most Heroes. While not every single Hero can thrive in each map, we believe that this fresh rework in Overwatch 2 Season 13 will widen the ambit of playable Heroes across all of these maps in the game.

Rank updates

All Competitive ranks in the game will be reset with the release of a new Season. As Season 13 of Overwatch 2 releases, players will have to play ten placement matches to secure their designated rank in the Competitive ladder.

Furthermore, depending on where you finished in the Competitive ladder in OW2 Season 12, you will be rewarded with designated Competitive Point bonuses as well. Additionally, if you have participated in the Competitive Drive system during the last week of Season 12, you will also progress through the benchmarks set for that ladder.

Mythic skin update

We also get a glimpse of the brand-new Mythic skin updates coming with Overwatch 2 Season 13. With the debut of the latest season, players can expect the release of new elements for their favorite Mythic skins,

Mythic Gilded Aspects is the latest addition to the Mythic store, providing players with yet another layer of customization for their favorite Mythic rarity Hero skin.

Hero balance changes

Hero balancing is the most important change that players can expect with the release of Overwatch 2 Season 13. With Tanks dominating other classes for the past two seasons, and worse, Sombra getting the upper hand against every encounter with Support Heroes, we believe that some major Hero balancing changes should be on the table for the upcoming season.

Players are expecting developers to tweak Tank Heroes and downscale their powers. OW2 is ultimately a team game, and being a one-man army in this title makes it an unamusing experience for all players involved.
