Every time you choose to make a different choice and change the flow of the story, you will see a message, "Fate Changed," appear on your screen. Keep in mind that you cannot start from just any point in a chapter; there are specific scenes that are featured in Cutting Room Floor for each chapter that you can start from.
You will see different types of threads between the scenes. These threads indicate your progress:
- The red threads indicate that the player has already taken this certain path to reach the next scene.
- If the thread is white, it means you haven't taken the action but have seen the outcome of it.
- However, if the white thread is dashed, it means that you haven't seen the scene or taken action yet.

The Cutting Room Floor also features a neat feature: the global percentages. Each thread has a percentage on it that indicates the portion of players that have taken the route. The threads with lower percentages are mostly inconvenient choices that occur when intentionally failing quick-time events or such.
