"What a disaster": God of War creator calls out Concord despite appreciating it

Concord's open beta has been available for a while now but it seems to be getting less favorable reactions from PC players. Adding to the list is none other than God of War's acclaimed creator David Jaffe who has criticized the upcoming 5v5 Multiplayer first-person shooter while calling it "a disaster" after just playing one match on PC.

David Jaffe hates Concord for this major reason

Jaffe is an outspoken personality on social media and never shies away from sharing his true feelings on any topic or the latest video game. Recently, he expressed his thoughts on PlayStation's new IP and first-person shooter offering, Concord, after diving into its open beta. This is what he wrote on X:

"Got into a match on PC! F***ing HATE the character designs in this game. What a disaster IMO. BUT it's still really, really fun!"

The God of War creator clearly stated that he dislikes the character designs presented in this Multiplayer shooter after playing the beta on PC. It seems like he's not a big fan of how the developers from Firewalk Studio have portrayed the Freegunners and their overall appearance.

That said, David Jaffe did mention that he had a good time with the open beta and it was quite fun.

The game has generally received harsh feedback on its character designs ever since the first reveal trailer was launched back in May 2024 during the State of Play event. Some fans believed that it had the "ugliest character designs" ever in a video game.

It will be interesting to see whether Firewalk Studio's team will try to change the characters' looks and their designs going forward. However, it's not likely to happen given that the game is almost close to its global debut, on August 23, 2024, and making a drastic improvisation to character design isn't possible in such a short period.
