What changes to expect in Apex Legends Season 23 Split 2 update?
Apex Legends is one of the most fast-paced battle royales in the industry and presents a dynamic gameplay experience with its unique character abilities. The devs continuously bring various balance changes to the game to avoid creating stale metas — be it for weapons or for the existing legends.

The new Apex Legends Season 23 Split 2 update will likely bring some more character changes alongside weapon balancing. At the start of Season 23, the devs rolled out massive buffs to the Support category of characters and created a surge in the pick rates for the same. This update, combined with the new Lifeline rework, made triple-support stacks the absolute meta for a long time.
The devs quickly took note of this balance issue and deployed a small patch that reverted Newcastle buffs and made his tactical shield destructible again. However, the game would need quite a few tweaks to remove the current dominant meta. Moreover, the weapons might receive some changes.
The most recent shotgun changes propelled the Mastiff to the top and may receive a damage reduction. The devs also removed the Level 4 Knockdown Shield, or Gold Shield, which might return in the upcoming mid-season update. However, this may be potentially delayed as the item could be undergoing a rework.

Apart from the gameplay changes, fans would be able to access a refreshed battle pass with brand-new character cosmetics and weapon skins. The game will also potentially receive a new collection event with a Mythical tier item. The devs could also introduce new LTMs (Limited Time Modes) for the upcoming holiday season.
Apex Legends Season 23 Split 2 is also slated to bring the grenade launcher weapon from Titanfall. It could be introduced as a care package weapon since it packs a powerful punch and could disrupt the game balance if the spawn rate was too high in Rift Relics.
