What happens if you help Glodell in Metaphor ReFantazio

In Metaphor ReFantazio, players must traverse its incredibly detailed and expansive map, which is set in the fictional United Kingdom of Euchronia. Much like creators Sega and Atlus' other popular series Persona, Metaphor also includes numerous RPG elements, providing players with a choice to dictate the course of the story's progression.

One such instance surfaces when faced with the choice of whether to help Glodell in his battle with Gideaux. Players can accept or decline this request, and here's the rundown of the same should they decide to help Glodell.

Helping Glodell in Metaphor ReFantazio

While aboard the Gauntlet Runner, players will reach a point where they will witness Glodell battling with Gideaux. At this moment, a prompt will appear, asking if they would like to intervene in the battle and help out Glodell.

Normally, helping Glodell would not interest players given his last meeting with the party wasn't exactly friendly. Despite this, should the option to help be selected, the protagonist will jump into the battlefield, and duke it out with Gideaux.

Once Gideaux is defeated, Louis will appear. Glodell is a dedicated supporter of the Lord, and the party's eventual goal is to get as close to him as possible. At the end of the battle, the party announces its support in Louis' favor.

Despite this, it should be noted that even if players decline the offer to help out Glodell, the mission ending will not change. In this situation, Strohl and Hulkenberg will intervene and drag the protagonist into the fight regardless.

So, whether or not players choose to help out Glodell, the same series of events will play out. Despite this, in both situations, Glodell will be quite frigid in his relationship with the party, suspicious of their every move.
