Once the Royal Net becomes accessible and players get rid of Inkies, you will notice a bunch of owls flying around. Unlike real life, owls in the game won't be happy feasting on things like fruits or fish. These in-game creatures have a friendly personality, meaning players can approach them without hesitation. Owls in Disney Dreamlight Valley feed on Rice and Wheat, but their favorite is Barley.

Make sure you feed them on three different occasions to make them your companions. Feeding this bird its favorite meal will reward the player with 100 Story Magic, as it marks the completion of the "Feed the Owls Their Favorite Food" Story Magic Duty.

How to acquire Barley for the Owl in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Acquiring Barley in the game is fairly easy, as it can simply be bought from Goofy's Stall. You can find his shop in the Bind, where you can buy the seeds for 15 Gold Star Coins. However, the stall won't be accessible when you first see it, requiring you to fix it free of charge with Scrooge McDuck's assistance.

Once fixed, upgrade it twice for a total of 9,000 Star Coins to access the Barley seeds. Once you have acquired the seeds from his stall, sow them in the ground and wait for 15 minutes to harvest them.
