LEGO Horizon Adventures is available only on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms. PS4 fans who have enjoyed both the launch of Horizon Zero Dawn and the sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, won't be able to play the game unless they upgrade to a PS5. On the other hand, Xbox owners are completely missing out as the title is not available on their platforms.
With LEGO Horizon Adventures, PC is the only non-PS5 platform with the entire Horizon saga in one place, so newcomers who are satisfied with the LEGO spin-off and want to experience the real deal need not look elsewhere.
The Nintendo Switch, meanwhile, is a surprise. While the popular hybrid console has received renditions of PlayStation's MLB The Show game, this is the first time a major first-party IP, such as Horizon, has made it over. This spells good news for any similar future projects or maybe even ports of older titles if the game ends up selling well.
What is LEGO Horizon Adventures about?
The first LEGO game entry for a Sony IP, this game reconstructs the entirety of Horizon Zero Dawn in LEGO format, from its plastic brick environments to family-friendly humor. The project is developed by Studio Gobo in collaboration with series developer Guerilla Games.
The stop-motion aesthetics seen in past LEGO projects, such as The LEGO Movie (and its video game counterpart), will also be accounted for. Unlike other entries in the brick-tale saga, however, this will be an isometric action platformer experience as Aloy traverses a post-apocalyptic land to learn more about her past.
Familiar monsters — ranging from the Tall Necks to Thunderjaws — are also included, and Aloy will fight them alongside more enemies, either in solo or co-op. Players can purchase the title's base version or its Deluxe Edition.
