What platforms will Stalker 2 be on?

After years of waiting, Stalker 2 will be released on November 20, 2024. The game has already generated enough excitement, partially due to numerous controversies. If you are a long-time fan of the Stalker franchise or looking forward to playing the game for the first time, you might wonder what platforms it will release on.

Well, Stalker 2 is an Xbox-exclusive title. Since Xbox is owned by Microsoft, the game will only be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Can you play Stalker 2 on Xbox One?

Unfortunately, Stalker 2 is only releasing on the next-gen Xbox consoles so you won't be able to play it on the Xbox One directly. However, you can play it via cloud gaming using Xbox Cloud Gaming. Fortunately, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Note that only Ultimate Edition owners of Xbox Game Pass can play the game.

Will Stalker 2 come to PS5 and Nintendo Switch in the future?

Despite the game not releasing on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch right now, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to play the game on your console in the future. Although there is no official word from the developers, the recent trend of porting video games from one platform to another provides a slim chance of Stalker 2 becoming available on other platforms at some point.
