As players fight their way through the undead hordes of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, they will need to familiarize themselves with the varied game mechanics, including "PP." This stands for Prestige Points and is an important progression mechanic in Capcom's latest remaster of its beloved 2006 open-world zombie classic.
As such, it is important to know how it works to be able to make protagonist Frank West stronger to allow him to take on the game's zombies and powerful Psychopath bosses. Here is everything to know about PP in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

Simply put, PP or Pretige Points are essentially a form of "experience" in the game. PP is gathered by performing a variety of actions, such as killing zombies, escorting survivors to safety in the Security Room, and taking photographs using Frank's camera.
Prestige Points are gathered under the PP Gauge. This is a white meter below Frank's health bar on the top-left corner of the screen. When this gauge is full, Frank levels up and may gain any one of the following permanent perks:
- LIFE UP: Frank's max health increases.
- ATTACK UP: Frank can deal more damage to foes.
- SPEED UP: Frank can move faster thanks to increased speed.
- STOCK UP: Frank's inventory slots increase, allowing picking up and storing more objects and items.
- THROW DISTANCE UP: Frank can throw objects over a larger distance.
- SKILL ACQUIRED: Frank learns a new skill that may be useful across a variety of scenarios like combat or traversal.
It should be noted that the max PP level is 50, after which Frank will no longer gain experience. Furthermore, developer Capcom has tweaked balancing to ensure Frank now gains more PP than he could in the 2006 game. As such, returning players will find themselves leveling up at a faster rate. This, in turn, makes the gameplay more managable as Frank can get stronger faster.

The best ways to earn PP fast would be taking lots of photos of zombies (or other subjects in unique scenarios), defeating the Psychopath bosses, and saving survivors. While the former is a fairly menial task, the latter two can be pretty difficult. Hence, players are in for some trial and error to accomplish their objectives across the dangers of Williamette Mall.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is out right now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
