What is Quad Shot in XDefiant? New limited-time mode explained

Quad Shot in XDefiant is a new limited-time game mode. It was introduced to the title on October 4, 2024, and will be available till October 7, 2024, at 10 am PT. In it, players can only pick Double Barrel Shotguns and Sawed-Off Shotguns. So, there's no question of custom loadouts in this mode. However, what makes it even more interesting is that players get only a few shells to begin with.

Everything that fans need to know about Quad Shot in XDefiant

As stated, Quad Shot in XDefiant allows players to use only Double Barrel or the Sawed-Off Shotguns. It is a regular 6v6 mode (total of 12 players), where players will compete using just those weapons. The catch is that they will have only a few rounds in the beginning.

This further adds to the challenge and asks of players to use their guns conservatively with limited ammunition. However, more bullets can be picked up from eliminated players.

Since the mode involves only Shotguns, it features a few maps that allow for close-range action. At the moment, the game mode supports only the following maps:

• Arena
• Echelon HQ
• Rockefeller
• Showtime

Moreover, the Quad Shot can only be played in two different modes since they don't break the flow of gameplay when it's limited to close-range action only. These are:

• Hot Shot
• Occupy

Apart from these limitations, the win conditions and rules for the matches remain the same.

For the Hot Shot mode, players must collect Bounties from eliminated enemies, which grants them additional benefits such as a faster movement speed, ability to deal higher damage, and more. For the Occupy mode, players must take control of a site that will keep changing throughout the match.

So all that has changed in the mode is that players cannot use anything other than the two Shotguns that are mentioned above.

To play Quad Shot in XDefiant, follow these steps:

• Launch the game.
• Click on Play from the main menu.
• Select Unranked Playlist.
• Find the Quad Shot card. It will be marked with a yellow icon stating LTM.

That's it. The game will now matchmake and you'll be able to play the latest mode in the shooter.
