All changes coming with Apex Legends Season 22 Split 2

As stated above, the tides are truly changing within Apex Legends. Massive changes have been incorporated into both Legend kits and even weapons in the game. Let's explore them in a more detailed fashion.

Legend changes

Fuse

  • Hard capped the max radius of the scan area to be 450 (+50% of default ring/flat surface)
  • Disallowed mortar targeting on multiple objects within the player's control to prevent perfect setups

Rampart

  • Lowered delay before you can re-enter Sheila turret to 0.15s (was 1s)

Revenant

  • Forged Shadows
  • Reduced shield health to 50 (was 75)
  • Activation time doubled

Valkyrie

  • Now Recon Legend (was Skirmisher)
  • Full Tank upgrade now includes a 50% reduction in refuel delay to 4s (was 8s)
  • Gains Threat Vision while jetpacking, stays on until feet hit the ground/zipline
  • Jetpack UI now has a 'refuel delay' timer
  • More agile jetpack handling that feels similar to Valk’s release
  • Various buffs to improve reliability and output from Tac
  • Move slow stun duration increased by 50%
  • Missile explosion radius increased by 20%
  • Min attack range decreased by 25% (can hit closer enemies)
  • Max missile travel time now 4s (was 4.5s)
  • The fire rate for launching all missiles is now 25 (was 18)

With these changes, the developers have tried their best to tune both Fuse and Revenant to a more playable state. These Legends have been extremely overpowered in the past few seasons, and according to us, the gameplay will seem much more balanced moving forward.

Secondly, Valkyrie has been buffed to provide more utility in the game. The character lost value ever since the release of EVAC towers in the game. However, these new changes provide her kit with supplementary powers to help contribute to team fights in the game.

Weapon changes

Havoc Rifle

  • Removed Turbocharger as a Hop-up

R-99 SMG [Care Package]

  • Damage fall-off at 11+ meters increased to 11
  • Improved recoil

The R-99 will now be the absolute meta SMG in Apex Legends Season 22 Split 2. The changes to its recoil and damage trump every other SMG in the game.

As for the Havoc, the removal of the Turbocharger as a Hop-up will hinder its performance and playability. Though its damage stats remain the same, the spin-up before shooting can be a potential factor determining whether you lose or win a gunfight in the game.
