Endnight has not announced whether its sequel would enable eight-player groups like its predecessor.
What happens in the Sons of the Forest?
The Forest has two endings, and Sons of the Forest essentially makes the first canon, in which an older Timmy is seen battling to conceal his mutation and researching an island called 'Site 2.' That's where the Sons of the Forest narrative begins: you're dispatched to a secluded island to recover a missing millionaire, only to find yourself stuck in a cannibal-infested nightmare.
This sequel, like The Forest before it, will emphasize visual storytelling over scripted interactions or long cutscenes, with the primary focus being survival against the island's monsters.
When does Sons of the Forest come out on PS4?
Sons of the Forest, on the other hand, is not accessible on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X | S, and the game's maker, Endnight Games, has yet to announce a platform release.
