Whether you've played Resident Evil 4 before or not, there are various puzzles to solve, none more enticing than the Blue Medallion challenge found early in the Village and Cemetary. The Blue Medallions are an element of a minigame within Resident Evil 4's main game and it rewards the player which makes it worth the effort.
What are Blue Medallions in Resident Evil 4?
The Blue Medallions were allegedly left by the Merchant with a message that gives players the locations of the medallions and also reveals that a prize will be given to those who manage to destroy them. You first notice this assignment when you find a message pinned to a tree in the farm, just below a blue medallion. Following this, as soon as you reach the Merchant, he inquires as to whether you have seen the Blue Medallions.
The locations will be marked on the player's map by small blue dots after the message is picked up. According to the note under the first medallion, there are seven medals in the farm and eight in the cemetery. You only need to shoot ten to obtain the reward although shooting all fifteen adds to the reward.

As the player arrives at the Merchant, he asks if you've seen the Blue Medallions and says that if you shoot ten of them, he'll offer you a specialized handgun (The Punisher (FN Five-seven) Pistol). For those who shoot all fifteen, he will grant you a free firepower upgrade for the gun.
The Punisher is a firearm that may be purchased or obtained by completing a sidequest. The capacity to penetrate targets is its most noticeable characteristic. The Punisher has more piercing power than the Handgun and can pierce two Ganados in a line or a Ganado wielding a shield. Its particular upgrade allows it to shoot through five targets, making it considerably more effective at repelling hordes of Ganados.
