Horizon Forbidden West's Arena is a side activity in which players can complete combat challenges to obtain medals. Arena medals can be spent for a range of valuable equipment, including some of Horizon Forbidden West's most powerful legendary weapons. Gamers can take on difficult machines as rapidly as possible, and the challenges become more difficult as they progress down the list.
What is the Arena in Horizon Forbidden West?
The Arena is a side Activity (not to be confused with Side Quests or Errands) in Horizon Forbidden West that can be completed alongside major quests. It consists of a series of timed combat Challenges in which Aloy can compete for Arena Medals. The Arena is the place to go for gamers who want to put their combat skills to the test or train against the game's tougher machines.
There are several trials to pick from, each with its own set of problems and a last difficult challenge to face, which will feature one of the larger machines. The Arena challenges include five levels of difficulty, and finishing the harder challenges earns players more medals. Finishing challenges quickly increases the number of medals earned. Players must first obtain entrance to the Arena in order to perform combat tasks.
Where is the Arena in Horizon Forbidden West?
The primary story task "The Kulrut" in Horizon Forbidden West must be finished before the choice to open the arena becomes available. After finishing the quest, players can speak with Kalla near Memorial Grove in The Maw of the Arena. Aloy must deliver two Bristleback Tusks and a Rollerback Sinew to Kalla in order to complete the "Opening the Arena" side objective.
Finish this side quest before returning to the arena master to play the arena challenges. After completing Main Quest 9: The Kulrut, the Arena in Horizon Forbidden West becomes unlocked. It is towards the middle of the map and is labeled "The Maw of the Arena" on the map. It's exactly north of "The Memorial Grove," and to obtain the side quest "Opening the Arena," approach the Arena Master "Kalla" in front of the Arena.
What are the rewards from the Arena in Horizon Forbidden West?
After collecting enough Arena Medals, players can exchange them for Very Rare and Legendary weapons, costumes, and Coils by speaking with Dukkah at The Maw of the Arena. Dukkah can be found to the left of Kalla and accepts Hunting Medals earned from Hunting Grounds in exchange for some items. Gamers may also trade in Soldier Tags looted from Rebel Outposts here.
