One of the most frequently asked questions by fans about Spectre Divide is regarding the anti-cheat solution it uses to keep cheaters at bay. Being a competitive tactical shooter, anti-cheat plays a major role in maintaining Spectre Divide's competitive integrity. Having a proper anti-cheat solution will not only punish users who use cheats but also prevent them from cheating in the first place. Hence, it is imperative for a competitive shooter to have a proper anti-cheat system.

Fortunately, Spectre Divide doesn't compromise when it comes to anti-cheat and is committed to keeping its community safe and hackers at bay. In this brief article, we will take a closer look at Spectre Divide's anti-cheat solution.

Everything to know about Spectre Divide's anti-cheat

Spectre Divide uses BattlEye anti-cheat solution. This system is quite common in online multiplayer games. Other titles that also use this include H1Z1, PUBG, Arma 2 and 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Destiny 2, and Fortnite, to name a few. BattlEye is a kernel-level anti-cheat solution that constantly monitors the players' systems for malicious software that can be used to cheat in-game and prevents them from using it in the game.

But if you play any of the games mentioned above, you will realize that all of them have cheaters in some form or the other, bypassing the detection. Hence, despite being a great anti-cheat, BattlEye isn't the be-all and end-all solution. So what are Spectre Divide's doing to counter these issues?

Here's what the developers at Mountaintop Studios had to say about the anti-cheat solutions used in Spectre Divide:

"We use a combination of BattlEye and proprietary systems (some of which we’ve been working on since day 1) to keep cheaters from affecting normal players. We can’t say too much more beyond this, but like all of our systems designed to keep our matches healthy, the team is always monitoring, improving and iterating ways to keep cheaters out. Remember, your reports go a long way too."

However, the developers didn't dive into the details of their in-house anti-cheat system that accompanies BattlEye. To this, they further added:

"We know this response is vague, but it is intended to obfuscate exactly what we’re doing and how we’re doing it to not give anything away. Philosophically, cheating is not OK in Spectre and we will aggressively take action on offending accounts."

According to the developers, the game doesn't just feature the BattlEye anti-cheat. It also has proprietary solutions in place along with BattlEye to make cheating in the shooter difficult and nearly impossible. But that's not all.

They also claim that their team is constantly on the lookout for cheaters and hacks, and are improving their anti-cheat solution on the go. This is done to ensure that the detection systems are better and that the competitive integrity of the game isn't compromised at any cost, and needless to say, cheaters will be punished.
