Astro Bot was closely followed by another indie title that is a personal favorite of mine, Balatro. This cozy yet highly addictive card game won in three categories. It won the Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best Mobile Game awards.

However, none of these games came close to Baldur’s Gate 3 last year. The highly acclaimed RPG won in six categories.

Astro Bot boasts incredibly intricate level designs, unique mechanics, charming yet highly detailed graphics, and innovations that fully utilize the powerful hardware of Sony’s PlayStation 5.
