Indie developers, White Rabbit, have released a brand new gameplay trailer for their first game title, Death Gambit. For those of you aren’t familiar, Death Gambit is an upcoming action RPG that looks like a cross between Dark Souls and Shadow of Colossus. The game will be borrowing a few pieces from Castlevania, like its medieval setting and non-linear progression, allowing players to explore the game. The trailer is also equal parts nostalgic and interesting.
Death’s Gambit is set in a medieval planet plagued by monsters, knights, and other creatures. The players will assume the role of an agent of Death, who has set out to rid the world of immortals. You can check out the officialFAQ’s page for more info on the story.

The developers have promised to make ever boss battle an ‘unforgettable’ experience. Here’s what they had to say about the games combat system:

“The combat involves weapons (guns/blades) and abilities (magic). You arm yourself with three abilities, two weapons, and one healing item simultaneously. The current goal is to make the game about strategic, thought-out play, not about perfect twitch reflex or muscle memory.”
White Rabbit has not revealed a release date for Death’s Gambit yet, as the game is still in early stages of development. The game is planned for the PC as of now, and the development team is yet to decide how it will be distributed. You can check back here for more updates on Death’s Gambit.
