Leandros in Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is an Ultramarine of the Adeptus Astartes, serving in the 2nd Company of the Space Marines. Born in the Ultramar System, he embodies strict adherence to the Codex Astartes, viewing it as the absolute doctrine for any battle situation.

His rigid and by-the-book mentality makes him a loyal soldier, earning him the name "do-gooder," but this quality makes him very stern and rigid. Leandros is also depicted as being less connected to humanity, often prioritizing the Codex over empathy, a trait that becomes central to his development in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

In the first Space Marine game, Leandros serves under Captain Titus as part of his command squad during the defense of Forge World Graia against an Ork WAAAGH! invasion. While he proves to be a capable warrior, his unwavering loyalty to the Codex Astartes makes him have an ideological clash with the protagonist, Captain Titus. Titus often acts based on battlefield pragmatism rather than rigid rules.

Throughout the campaign, Leandros grows increasingly suspicious of Titus due to the latter's unusual resistance to Warp energies, ultimately accusing his captain of being an agent of Chaos. Leandros reports Titus to the Inquisition, leading to Titus' arrest. Before Titus is taken away, he bashes Leandros, claiming that the young Ultramarine failed the "true test of a Space Marine"—thinking critically beyond the rules of the Codex.

By the events of Space Marine 2, Leandros has become a Chaplain, an elevated role within the Ultramarines, responsible for maintaining the spiritual and moral purity of his brothers. Wearing a skull mask that signifies his position, Leandros continues to harbor doubts about Titus, despite the former captain being cleared of his charges and reinstated.

Though wary of Titus, Leandros accompanies him on missions with his identity hidden and offers support while ensuring that Titus is being watched. Over time, Leandros begins to reconcile his past actions, even encouraging Titus in battle. The big reveal in the end hits so hard because it shows that throughout the game, the Chaplain who counseled Titus on various accounts was Leandros.

By the end of the game, while still vigilant, Leandros seems satisfied that his suspicions about Titus were wrong, acknowledging his former captain's heroism and redemption. However, in the last scene of Space Marine 2, Leandros says that he will continue to have an eye on Titus in all of their future missions.
