It's not completely new for a Souls-like to have a mythical character as the main protagonist. Previously, Lies of P featured the fairy tale character Pinocchio in a new light. Many fans have been drawing parallels between these titles as both Souls-like games have translated popular folklore characters into the medium of video games boldly and experimentally.
