Will Dragon Age The Veilguard have multiplayer?

Despite its predecessor heavily featuring co-op Multiplayer elements, Dragon Age The Veilguard will not have multiplayer. The developers are looking to return to the roots of Dragon Age, similar to DA2 and Origins, neither of which had any online gameplay elements. Thus, this game will be strictly single-player.

So, if you were hoping to jump back into the world of Thedas alongside your friends and runthrough the streets of Minrathous together, you would be quite disappointed. However, the game still promises to deliver a grand adventure with its single-player campaign though, and you can still play that.

Dragon Age The Veliguard won't feature any multiplayer co-op mode

One of the most prominent features from Inquisition will be absent in BioWare's upcoming RPG title. In an interview with GameInformer, the studio revealed that the co-op multiplayer aspects would not be arriving in Dragon Age The Veilguard.

The studio's general manager, Gary McKay, disclosed that BioWare wants to return to the roots of Dragon Age with Veilguard, and thus, will lack a co-op mode.

Executive Producer of BioWare, Michael Gamble also stated on X that the game will be "straight up single player story goodness" and won't feature any live service model either.

The dev team wants players to experience the world of Dragon Age and be fully immersed in it. However, the multiplayer aspect did not provide anything valuable to that end, prompting the developers to exclude it in their upcoming RPG. Moreover, BioWare wants to provide players with a classic Dragon Age experience, which further influenced the decision to not have any multiplayer aspects, similar to DA 2 or Origins.
