Can Halo 1 receive a remake in Unreal Engine 5 in the future?
Recently, the Halo Studio head, Pierre Hintze, announced that all future projects will use Unreal Engine 5. Since Unreal Engine is quite different from their original engine, the studio head claimed in a recent exclusive interview with Xbox Wire that it will change the whole process of making Halo Games.
Additionally, Hintze hinted that they are currently in the middle of making a couple of games in Unreal Engine 5:
“What is clear is that, yes, it’s Halo games - plural - in development right now.”
That means players can expect some game announcements from the Halo Studios soon, with Halo 1 Remake possibly being one of the games in the works. Since the officials haven’t commented on this matter, Halo enthusiasts must wait longer for an official announcement.

Since both engines work differently, the Halo 1 remake, if under development, will likely take a little time before the developers can release it. Moreover, the Halo Studio head, Pierre Hintze, said they are working on multiple titles, hinting it can even be a new title instead of a remake of the old games in the Unreal Engine 5.
Apart from what the studio head has said, there is no solid evidence of the fan-favorite Halo game receiving a remake in Unreal Engine 5. Therefore, as mentioned previously, players must wait until the developers break the silence and announce what they are currently working on in the future.
