Stellar Blade is a hack-n-slash action adventure that has jaw-dropping visuals, and a fluid combo-based combat system. As mentioned previously, it is heavily inspired by games like Devil May Cry 5 and NieR: Automata. Despite the controversies with the outfits of the female charters, the devs have confirmed that there will be no censorships in Stellar Blade.
PlayStation exclusives are known for their rich world-building and narratives. Games like God of War, have shown the world that despite the popular belief among the top players of the industry, single-player games still have a high place among the modern generation of gamers. Stellar Blade aims to follow this path as well.
While online and live service games are extremely profitable due to their recurring paid battle passes, content packs, and a plethora of in-game micro-transactions, these are generally not good modules for giving the player an immersive story-driven experience. Which is why Stellar Blade devs are so adamant about not adding any multiplayer options to their game.
On the other hand, the game industry has also been changing. The fall of one of the biggest live-service releases of the year, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and the phenomenal success of single-player titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, become a testament to the fact that gamers prefer quality experience over multiplayer or live-service options.
Currently, the title is available for pre-order on the Playstation 5 store. Previously a Demo had been released which received a very positive response from the users and critics. If you have also played the demo, you can transfer Stellar Blade demo save to the full game.
