The developers have confirmed that Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 will support crossplay and that the feature will be accessible from day one. This is what they had to say:

"Yes, full crossplay between Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S players will be supported from Day One."
