Windsong in Reverse 1999 is an upcoming 6-star Arcanist, debuting in the Phase Two update of version 1.8. She is of Star Afflatus with DPS, Burst Damage, and Follow-up Attack tags and deals Mental damage to enemies. Timekeepers will be able to pull her on The Intersecting Lines banner, which will be available from August 29 to September 19, 2024, at 04:59 UTC-5.

Windsong will have a boosted drop rate along with the other two 5-star Arcanists, Sweetheart of Beast Afflatus and Blonney of Star Afflatus. Windsong, can gain Eureka, launch follow-up attacks, and deal high burst damage. Additionally, she can deal high critical damage and convert excess critical rate to critical damage.

Here is the skills overview for Windsong in Reverse 1999:

• Rehabilitation (Basic Skill): Using Rehabilitation Basic Skill, Windsong can deal damage to a single target and gain Eureka. She spends two Eureka to deal additional damage and converts the extra critical rate to critical damage for this skill.
• Practicability (Basic Skill): She deals damage to two enemies with Practicability. It also grants her Eureka and two stacks of Preparation - Windsong.
• Long Journey (Ultimate Skill): Windsong in Reverse 1999 can debuff a single target with Long Journey. She inflicts one stack of Confusion for one round and enters the Mapping status. The Arcanist also gains Eureka and then, converts all cards at hand to the Rehabilitation Basic Skill of the matching rank and casts them if she can.

Windsong’s Passive or Inheritance is Interdisciplinary Research. At Insight I, it grants Measure (one stack) to Windsong whenever an ally lands a critical hit or enemies gains Confusion. At Insight II, her critical rate is increased by 10% while entering the battle.

Windsong is an extremely strong Reverse 1999 Star Afflatus Arcanist. She has one of the highest single-target damage and can deal massive critical damage to enemies. This Arcanist is one of the top-tier DPS, and her Ultimate can cause her to automatically cast Rehabilitation Basic Skill without using extra AP.

However, building her Ultimate might require a considerable amount of time. In addition to converting excess critical rate to critical damage with her Rehabilitation Basic Skill, she can inflict Confusion on enemies. It makes her deal additional critical damage, boosting her damage exponentially.

Windsong in Reverse 1999 is also a broker character like Jiu Niangzi. She is not a must-pull for Timekeepers who have fully built 37 or Jiu Niangzi. They can save their Clear Drops for the upcoming Arcanists in the version 1.9 update.
