He made an 'L' with his index finger and thumb, placed it on his forehead and danced with both legs hopping off the ground. Everyone was left amused and only a few understood what the celebration was.

A few days later, the forward confirmed that it was indeed a celebration from Fortnite and the word about the game spread like wildfire among football fans.

The heart of the matter

Griezmann has made a huge claim and said that winning a Battle Royale on Fortnite is more stressful than scoring a goal in football. Talking to Oh My Goal, Griezmann said, “I’m more stressed trying to get a Victory Royale than when I’m in the penalty area. I think [Fortnite] is tougher.”

This isn't the only time he has spoken about the video game openly. He even revealed that he used to play Fortnite all day during the World Cup to keep himself occupied. He said, “I stay the same, play Fortnite all day and take advantage of playing football."

What’s next?

Fortnite's season 8 starts tonight, (February 28) with rumours suggesting that it will be a pirate-based theme. It is expected to be 10 weeks long, meaning it will be running until May 8.
