Winter Wonderland in Overwatch 2 is back with classic game modes, exclusive challenges, and a range of free rewards. The 2024 edition of the event features three free legendary skins, leading to major hype among the community. Whether you are revisiting nostalgia or looking for exclusive holiday cosmetics, Winter Wonderland 2024 offers something for every fan.

That said, here are all the rewards you can unlock during Winter Wonderland in Overwatch 2 Season 14.

Rewards

As of December 17, 2024, the Winter Wonderland event is already live. There are eight items you can unlock during the event: three sprays, four name cards, and a free Hanzo skin named Casual Hanzo.

Blizzard also took to their official blog to announce that players will be able to unlock Legendary rarity skins for Merry Marionette, Cassidy, and Widowmaker. These character skins are free to obtain and will be available to unlock on December 19, 2024, at 2 PM Eastern Time.

How to unlock

Here are all the seven challenges you can currently finish to unlock free holiday-themed items:

Complete three games of Freezethaw Elimination to unlock Hazard Ornament spray.
Complete three games of Mei’s Snowball Offensive or Snowball Deathmatch to unlock Venture Ornament spray.
Complete three games of Yeti Hunt to unlock Juno Ornament spray.
Complete eight games to unlock Casual Hanzo skin.
Complete 16 games to unlock Festive Cheer name card.
Complete 24 games to unlock Snowfriend name card.
Complete 32 games to unlock Festive Pine name card.

Completing the aforementioned challenges also grants you 5,000 XP each.

That said, to unlock the three Legendary skins, you will have to complete the following challenges:

Play three games of casual or competitive mode to unlock the Legendary Merry Marionette skin.
Play six games of casual or competitive mode to unlock the Legendary Cassidy skin.
Play nine games of casual or competitive mode to unlock the Legendary Widowmaker skin.

The Winter Wonderland event will be live until January 7, 2025, after which you cannot claim the rewards. Do note that these are exclusive items and will not return to the shop in the future.

What has been added during Winter Wonderland in Overwatch 2?

Alongside Winter Wonderland in Overwatch 2, Blizzard Entertainment has also added the new 6v6 game modes. There will be two experimental modes: 6v6 Role Queue and 6v6 Min 1 Max 3. The 6v6 Role Queue is already live and will be available till January 7, 2025, while the other game mode will be available from January 7, 2025, to February 4, 2025.

All the challenges of Winter Wonderland in Overwatch 2 Season 14 are playable in the new experimental 6v6 game modes as well. As of now, Blizzard has not confirmed if these experimental game modes will become permanent in the future.
