Strange bugs have infested Battlefield 2042 ever since the game was released globally on all major platforms. One such strange bug seems to have happened to one set of players in which the game drops them off at the wrong spots.

For example, in a video posted by a user, the US faction was dropped in the RU area and vice versa.

Interestingly, the game identifies that the spawn positions are wrong once the match starts. Unfortunately, this is just one of many incidents that have become common with the game. Some of these bugs have been isolated cases where others are general and happen to a larger volume of players.

These bugs and the forced delay of fresh content have resulted in the game getting severe backlash from players. Unfortunately, it's also one of Steam's worst-reviewed games, with many players asking for refunds to date.

Bizarre Battlefield 2042 bug lands players in wrong faction spots

The game has two major factions - the US and RU - and their spawn points on the map. Players under the factions battle for neutral points to grab the bragging rights.

Based on a video posted by u/ITackleFatCats, the match drops him and his teammates on the RU side of the map. There's only one problem with that - the entire faction of players is in the US faction.

As soon as the vehicles drop them off, the game gives a warning that the players are leaving the combat area. After a few seconds, the players and their squadmates are killed automatically.

It appears that the entire spawning was erroneously reversed without change in the spots. It appears that on the maps, the RU faction was dropped in the wrong spot, and the same fate awaited them.

It's not quite clear what caused this terrible and strange bug. It's also unclear if the bug is an isolated case, but it just ruins the game's reputation even more. Even other players shared their dismay at the game's condition at large.

One player felt that the victim could have got some quick kills had they only suffered the bug. As it happened, all the players in that particular lobby were affected.

Other players couldn't even believe how bad the game had become.

While another player questioned the deteriorating conditions of Battlefield 2042:

One player asked how such a mess could happen at all.

Battlefield 2042 needs to make a comeback with new content, but the existing bugs don't make life any easier for developers and fans alike. Isolated or not, this kind of occurrence shouldn't happen, especially when the player count is at an all-time low.
